Scott Gerien Contributes Chapter on Geographical Indications for New Book, “Place-Branding Experiences”

DP&F partner and Intellectual Property group lead Scott Gerien contributed a chapter written on the topic of geographical indications for upcoming release, Place-Branding Experiences - Perspectives from Intellectual Property Owners, Users and Lawyers, published by Edward Elgar Publishing out of London.

Scott’s chapter, titled “The Legal Protection of Geographical Indications in the United States: Following the Footsteps of Napa Valley,” outlines the ways geographical indications are protected in the United States using the journey to protection of the Napa Valley wine appellation as a representative case study.
